Accommodations

 

Cabins have picture windows looking out over the lake and are equipped with screened windows, wood stoves, bunks with mattresses, propane lights and cooking facilities, including pots and pans. These cabins have no electricity or running water. You may bring your own sleeping bag or borrow one of ours.

 

Equipment

 

Boats with motors are provided on all fishing trips, including, gas, oars, life preservers, and anchor. We rent rods & reels for $10 per trip.  Hip boots can also be rented for $5 per trip. Fishing licenses, tackle, flies, and favorite lures can be purchased here prior to departure.

 

Food

 

Most clients purchase groceries of their choice at the local supermarket.

 

Weather

 

From June 1 through mid August Alaska's interior, for the most part enjoys 24 hrs. of daylight with daytime highs averaging 75 with evening lows averaging 60 degrees. During our long warm summer afternoons its  not unusual to experience midday thundershower  activity.

 

Costs

 

Costs for day trips start at $180 per person lasting 8 to 10 hrs.  Overnight trips including the use of cabin is $200 per person lasting 24 hrs.  Each additional day thereafter is $50 per person.

Example, Three day fishing trip = $200+ $50 + $50 total cost per person = $300

 

Reservations

 

A reservation can be taken with a deposit of  $50 per person stating the day, trip number, number of people and whether you will be staying the night.  If you would rather not make firm reservations call when you arrive in Fairbanks and we'll schedule the trip of your choice.

Deposits are refundable with a 14 day  notice of cancellation.

One Day Fishing Trip, 

Rod & reel and small tackle box
Plastic bags (2 or 3 large), fish are placed in plastic bags and transported in the  aircraft floats.
Rubber hip or knee boots, at most lakes tennis shoes are suitable but less desirable. 
Raincoat, hat, sunglasses
Insect repellent and sun block
Sack lunch and something to drink
Day packs or small zipper bags are easily loaded in the aircraft.

*The above items can not exceed 25lb. maximum per person.

Overnight Fishing Trips

All of the above items
Sleeping bag
Drinking water
Extra food double bagged, we have coolers for your cold food.
Roll of paper towels for kitchen area, can opener, book of matches
Paper plates, plastic forks & spoons
One extra change of clothes, socks and under clothes as required. 
First aid kit, make up one to include band aids, antiseptic cream, aspirin ect.

*The above items can not exceed 40lb. maximum per person.

                                What not to bring

Large coolers over 35 qts. will not fit in aircraft baggage compartment.
Bottled refreshments and food products add unnecessary weight, caned drinks and plastic containers are much lighter.
Pack frames and suitcases, they are awkward and seldom fit in storage compartments.
Large heavy tackle box, leave your saltwater tackle home, consolidate & bring what you'll use.
Flashlights & lanterns, we enjoy 24hrs. of daylight June through mid August
Square boxes, extra coolers and Rubbermaid action packs are difficult to find space for. 

Weight exceeding the 25Lb. day trip and 40Lb. overnight trip weight limit will charged $1.00 per pound, space available only. Weight is a critical problem in a floatplane, all gear and baggage is carefully weighed before loaded.
